Privacy Policy

Applies to the iOS app “Alibi” (Alibi: Murder Logic Puzzles).

The short version

Alibi has no accounts and no sign-in. Your progress is stored only on your device. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers as described below. Subscriptions are processed by Apple — we never see your payment details.

Data we collect

We — the developer — collect none. The app requires no registration, uploads your progress nowhere, and has no analytics of our own that identify you. Game state (cases, placements, settings) is stored locally and removed when you delete the app.

Advertising (free version)

Free play is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To serve and measure them, Google may collect device information such as the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address and coarse diagnostics. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

On iOS we ask permission through App Tracking Transparency before any tracking identifier is used. If you decline, ads still work but are not personalized. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a consent form is shown before personalized ads are served, and you may use the app with limited ads.

Alibi Pro subscribers see no ads, and no ad requests are made.

Analytics

The app sends anonymous usage signals (for example “a case was started” or “a case was solved”, with difficulty and accuracy) through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service that works without personal identifiers: data is anonymized before it reaches their servers and cannot be tied back to you. See the TelemetryDeck privacy policy.

Purchases

Alibi Pro subscriptions are handled by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). We receive no payment information, only an anonymous confirmation that a subscription is active. Manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Children

Alibi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete — uninstalling the app removes all local data. For data processed by Google in connection with ads, see the links above. EEA and UK users may withdraw ad consent from the in-app form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
